K-12 Writing Vision and Philosophy We believe that all students are writers, and we will foster an appreciation of writing as an essential life skill and communication tool.
Philosophy
We believe effective writers are communicators who have a positive impact in all areas of learning. The goal of our comprehensive writing curriculum is to develop students who communicate effectively. Our desire is to empower our students with the necessary writing and communication skills to function as productive citizens of the world. We endeavor to develop writers who:
- think critically
- write clearly and competently in a variety of situations
- apply the steps of the writing process according to their purpose and audience
- are motivated by need and interest
